Art Line website, and more

In cooperation with the web-agency Modondo in Karlskrona, the partly EU-financed art and culture-project Art Line has now gone digital, exactly as it should be.
From here on the site you see in front of you will be the projects primary information-centre. But not only that. It will function as a digital exhibition venue; a place on the Internet where you can enjoy digital works of art from the comfort of your home, with just a click of a button. These works of art will be available from the section Commisions in the near future.

During the projects three year life-span an abundance of workshops are planned in joint collaboration between the 14 participating partners, all with the aim of producing contemporary art that can either be showcased in its entirety here or at location within the South Baltic region. Information about and pictures from these workshops/seminars can be found under the section Events, together with information about up and coming Exhibitions and Public Space Projects. Make sure to check it out often since it is regularly updated.
An avalanche of info is about to come. The project has just gotten off its feet and is steadily gaining speed. This summer there´s workshops planned, and Kalmar Konstmuseum will carry out its first beta test amongst many other things. Already next year, 2012, project Telling the Baltic will have its first exhibition in the city of Karlskrona in Sweden, at Blekinge County Museum. After Karlskrona the exhibition will be showcased at location in Rostock, Kaliningrad, Gdansk and lastly on board the Stena Line ferry on its seaward route between Karlskrona and Gdynia. More information about project Telling the Baltic can be found under the heading Telling the Baltic, up above.
When spring is in full bloom there´ll be a big international conference about digital art held in Gdansk, Poland, that you shouldn´t miss out on. To get more information about the conference click here.

This  – precise – page will continously get updated with news about the project, and is – as such – your hub for quick summaries of what is going on. This is also where project Art Lines newsletter will be put. A subricption option will soon be up. If you´re interested in getting the newsletter before the subscription is up send an e-mail to Art Lines Information Officer Aje Björkman aje.bjorkman@artline-southbaltic.eu. From here you can as well get to the Art Line blog, a place to read and comment articles discussing art in general and digital art in specific. The blog will also give tips on interesting workshops and exhibitions that will take place on the art-institutions of the participating partners´. Consider it your go to blog when it comes to theoretical and practical concerns regarding art, as well as a source for interesting tips on what´s going on – art-wise- in the South Baltic region. Soon Art Line will be on Facebook, where the discussion can be continued.

If there´s anything regarding the project that you´re specifically interested in and that you want to know more about, more than this website can – as of now – give you, don´t hesitate to contact Art Lines Information Officer Aje Björkman.
